It’s been more than six months since I graduated college and
I can say that there were some huge changes in my life. It amazes me how this
time last year I’m in a predicament of graduating but now, I’m in a coffee shop
trying to inform people of the things I realized in the past seven months.

THE BEST INTERNSHIP EVER!!!!
(I can’t believe that I get to be part of this family.)
Becoming an intern at Linya-Linya has got to be one of my TOP 10 this year! I almost gave up on my internship applications. Sending out applications and waiting for call that are not coming boost up my anxiety onto the next level. Until one rainy night, I received a call telling me I landed an interview with Linya-Linya!
Being an intern at Linya-Linya is amazing!! The family is still growing so I get to be hands-on when it comes to tasks and assignments. My internship involves my writing and speech communication majors.
In my writing internship, I was asked to draft blog posts for the blog and write a script for a video teaser, read articles online, give inputs about the given articles, and basically, pitch in ideas when needed.
On the other hand, in my speech communication internship, I was able to do a product shoot, help in the video production, draw storyboards, present my ideas in front of my boss and other people, and the most exciting part is that I was able to meet and talk to diverse people whenever my boss is in a meeting or in an interview. I got to know Sir Panch, Sir Jim, Sir Gab, Claudine (my co-intern), and my co-workers when it came to the video production.
The thing I love about this internship is that my little opinion matters. When I had my internship in other institutions, every tasks given to is just another task to accomplish, but at Linya-Linya I get to say my opinions and I actually feel that they matter. I also got to utilize my skills in photography and writing.
My supervisors were like brothers to me. My boss, Sir Ali, never failed to inspire me and impart his knowledge. He is also like a superhero who’s always ready to rescue me in times of trouble (i.e. when i lost my wallet in Manila :(). He also gives leeway when I can’t meet deadlines because he understands what it is like to be a college student. He also never fails to make me smile with his punchlines. When the time came where I’ve been caught up in all my responsibilities, he did nothing but to cheer me up and inspire to find my way back to the right track.
Linya-Linya did not only give me the best internship experience but it also made me ‘THE NEXT INTERN SENSATION’ that I will never ever forget.

If you’re looking for a very good company for your internship, make sure to consider Linya-Linya because I promise you, you’ll have the best time. :)

October 31
And so on my birthday, I decided to celebrate it with the closest people to my heart. I never get to celebrate my birthday because it is a holiday. People are usually busy during November 1st, so my parents decided to throw my birthday party on October 31st! Halloween!
Il tazze was in-charge of my overall birthday celebration. I didn’t plan much since I wanted it to be a soirée. I invited a few closest friends over. My closest orgmates where able to come. I really appreciated that because most people go home to their provinces during this time of the year. And of course, my high school barkada/best friends was/were there too. We weren’t complete though but I understand how hard it is to make time for my celebration. I’m still glad because I was surrounded by people who I really look up to, and love on my special night.
Il Tazze served us a five-course meal. My guests and I really loved their food. I hope they’ll put that in the menu soon. My cake was made by Daisy Ang, a schoolmate from high school. It was a rainbow cake. Shout out to my very delicious cake. It was really cute and yummy!
It was a night full of laughter and stories. Nothing can really go wrong with good food and good company.
November 1
On my actual birthday, my daddy cooked me a very special breakfast. We all shared the delicious meal. It is something really simple but my family hasn’t done this for some time because of our different schedules so I am really thankful that they took time to eat breakfast with me.
November 2 - 3
Earl (my birthday buddy) and I planned to have a birthday dinner together since we have the same birthdays. We had dinner at Bonitos: bar and restaurant. I had Kalderetang Batangas and Earl had a 5-spice spare ribs. We shared a strawberry-banana milkshake too! After our dinner, we went to his apartment to watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S. We talked ‘til dawn about life and everything in between. I love how open we can be with each other. We laughed and cried that night and now it’s one of my favorite moments with him.
I feel really blessed to be surrounded by people I love most. I know that sometimes people grow apart but I am just thankful that during these days and nights, they weren’t just any people in my life. They are my true friends, my constants, my everything.
To everyone who is a part of my life right now, I just want to say thank you. I wouldn’t be who I am if it weren’t for you.
